Crystal Ball

For the base of the crystal ball, I started with a Dollar Tree cat food bowl. After giving it a generous coat of black chalk paint, I set it aside to dry.

To create the inside of the crystal ball, I repurposed the haunted house from a pack of Dollar Tree DIY stickers. To provide support, I used four tumbling tower blocks and two tiny pieces of scrap wood from my craft stash. A coat of black paint with a paint marker gave them a cohesive look.

After gluing the blocks together and attaching the scrap wood to the back of the haunted house, I secured the haunted house inside the cat food bowl with hot glue. I also cut a piece of transparency film to fit inside a Dollar Tree dome-shaped glass candle holder.

To add a touch of motion, I used rub-on transfers to create bats flying around the haunted house. After applying the bats to the transparency film, I glued it in place and added a bit of Spanish moss to cover the base. Finally, I placed a glass dome upside down over the haunted house.

Potions + Spells Stand

Starting with an interchangeable crate stand I previously created, I prepared the sign at the top by cutting notches in a large craft stick with steel snips. After painting and applying "Potions & Spells" in silver shimmer vinyl, I attached the signs to existing magnets on the crate.

I adorned the front with an LED ghost necklace from Big Lots for added flair. To finish, I added wizardry-themed items from Michaels and a small straw broom from Hobby Lobby.

This spooky-cute stand would make a great addition to a Halloween-themed tiered tray.

Burlap Pictures

For this project, I picked up two wood plaques from the Crafterโ€™s Square section at Dollar Tree. After painting them black, I traced burlap pieces and cut them to fit. Using a Cricut machine, I cut spider and crow designs from black glittery iron-on vinyl.

Following the heat guide, I applied the designs to the burlap using an EasyPress Mini. To attach the fabric to the wood plaques, I used matte Mod Podge.

These simple pieces would add the perfect amount of spook to your Halloween displays.

BOO! Pumpkins

Starting with four wood pumpkins from Dollar Tree, I painted them black and the stems with silver metallic paint. Using my Cricut, I applied white adhesive vinyl to spell out "BOO!" and added silver shimmer vinyl spiderwebs.

After making bows from black sheer ribbon, I glued the pumpkins together to create one solid piece. This beginner-friendly Halloween project came together beautifully.

Halloween Tombstones

Using a wood tombstone blank from Dollar Tree, I painted it gray and traced over the lines and designs with a black paint marker. Applying various phrases cut from black adhesive vinyl with my Cricut, I personalized each tombstone.

To add texture, I used hot glue to attach Spanish moss and added a skull from Dollar Tree. This piece can be tailored to match your specific Halloween decor.

Raven Decor

Starting with a wood crate from Dollar Tree, I painted it black and added floral foam to the top. By modifying a bamboo ring, applying Antique Gold Rubโ€™n Buff, and arranging the crow and purple rose picks, I created a striking centerpiece.

Wrapping fairy lights around the ring and adding a black spider web for that final spooky touch completed the look.
