Target Christmas DIYs

DIY

With each holiday season, Target puts out a variety of fun new items in the Dollar Spot.

Recently, I purchased several of these items and used them to create beautiful pieces of DIY Christmas decor for my home.

House Wreath

This wreath was inspired by an adorable piece I saw on Liz Marie Galvan’s Instagram. To create my own, I gathered a few inexpensive supplies from the Target Dollar Spot and Dollar Tree as well as some items I found on sale at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

After giving the wreath a light dusting of Matte River Rock spray paint, I attached a Dollar Tree bow to the top and used hot glue and floral wire to add the houses and bottle brush trees.

This project is high on the list of my favorite DIYs that I have ever created.

Felt Christmas Bulbs

After purchasing two packs of wooden Christmas bulb ornaments from the Target Dollar Spot, I painted the tops of the bulbs with gold acrylic paint and wrapped them in felt from Michaels.

Wire-Framed House

I transformed this fall Target Dollar Spot sign into a minimal piece of winter decor using a few coats of white chalk paint and two Christmas cards from Dollar Tree.

Christmas Village

To make it look like these Target Dollar Spot and Dollar Tree buildings belonged in a set, I gave them a base coat of white spray paint and then dabbed each structure with a mixture of Dollar Tree spackle and white chalk paint.

I arranged them above my kitchen cabinets among an inexpensive garland and a variety of trees I had on hand.

Sequin Stars

These two wooden stars were a clearance find from Target a few weeks ago. I painted them each with metallic acrylic paint and then embellished the fronts of the stars with sparkly items from the Crafter’s Square section at Dollar Tree.

These stars are so much fun and add the perfect pop of sparkle to any space, including a winter-themed tiered tray.

Tree Shadowbox

I purchased an adorable pack of small, coordinating Christmas decor items from the Target Dollar Spot and built a tree-shaped shadowbox out of Dollar Tree triangle signs to display the pieces.
