Dollar Tree Neutral DIY Decor
While I love to display seasonal decorations in my home, there are some times during the year when I prefer my decor to be a bit more neutral. With the help of some inexpensive items from Dollar Tree, I created a few DIY decor pieces that will be perfect accents in my home all year round.
Round Wooden Tray
This adorable piece started as a simple wooden tray from the Dollar Tree Plus section of my local Dollar Tree. I cut wood beads in half with miter shears and attached them to the side of the tray using wood glue. For the legs of the tray, I used small wood rounds that I also picked up at Dollar Tree.
Windmill Floral Arrangement
This Dollar Tree windmill is an adorable addition to a neutral arrangement of lamb’s ear stems and white roses. Wooden dowels from Dollar Tree were used to create the base of the windmill.
Home State Cutting Board
This adorable piece was made using a mini cutting board from Aldi, some wood beads, and an Iowa “home” cutout that I found on Cricut design space. The Dollar Tree farmhouse ribbon that was used to create the bow is a great addition to any craft stash.
Market Stand
In its former life, this market stand was a fireworks stand but I gave it a new life by changing the signs on the front and top and using some farmhouse ribbon to create an adorable banner for the front. This interchangeable decor piece is an adorable addition to a tiered tray. Detailed directions for creating this DIY can be found here.
Antique Scale
This adorable scale was inspired by Holly from Hot Humble Pie on YouTube. She shared a tutorial for this piece in one of her videos and I loved it so much that I had to recreate it for my home.
Wildflower Canvas
A three-by-five-inch Dollar Tree canvas was transformed into an adorable work of art and no painting skills were required.
Hanging Basket
For a previous video, I made a ladder using Dollar Tree plunger handles and I wanted to create a basket to hang from one of the rungs. The basket was made using a canvas organizer, a rattan hat, and artificial leather, which were all purchased from Dollar Tree.
